Nasboi, the skit maker turned singer, has embarked on a mission to visit all 36 states in Nigeria and kneel in each one to appeal for a collaboration with Davido.
The comedian kicked off his campaign in Osun state, where he shared a photo on Instagram of himself kneeling in front of the state government secretariat.
In the caption, Nasboi revealed his plan to repeat the gesture in every state, hoping to convince Davido, whom he called “king,” to bless him with a verse.
The skit maker explained that he initially mimicked Davido in 2019 to gain attention for his music, but his comedy content took off instead. He added that now, he’s returning to his original goal.
“In 2019, I started mimicking Davido to get his attention for my music, but the videos blew me up as a comedian (God’s plan) I am back to plea with 001,” he wrote.
“Bless me with a verse for this song king. I will be kneeling across 36 states for 36 days.
“I pray this dream comes to pass. Please as a fan of nasboi, just tag @davido everyday when you see the post. Day 001 Osun state, 35 states to go.”

The post appeared to have caught Davido’s attention. The singer responded in the comment section with the words “set up!” — though it’s unclear if the response was an acknowledgment or confirmation of the collaboration.
In another post, Nasboi shared photo of himself kneeling at the Kano state government house. He also urged fans to keep tagging Davido, emphasizing how impactful the collaboration would be for his career.
“Kano state day 2! 34 to go! Please don’t stop tagging Davido. 001 please bless me with a verse, this would be life changing king,” he wrote.
Born Nasiru Bolaji Lawal, Nasboi gained fame through comedy skits before venturing into music.
He released his debut single ‘Umbrella’ featuring Wande Coal in November 2023 and recently signed a distribution deal with ONErpm Afro-Caribbean.
